The Commercial Lines Underwriter Academy is an 18-month program led by mentors, managers, and underwriting coaches, providing a unique challenge for those seeking to accelerate their underwriting career.
Through rotations and focused training, participants will gain exposure to many different aspects of our Commercial business, building the knowledge and technical skills needed for success.
As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to attend training and development programs where you will meet with senior leaders, underwriting experts, brokers, and key individuals from other departments. Throughout this process, you will have access to many of the benefits and growth opportunities that are available to Intact employees.

Earning Criteria
Required
Complete an 18 month program with 3 rotations at different levels, graduating as an Underwriter Level II
1) Underwriting Assistant (3 months)
2) Underwriter Level I (6 months)
3) Underwriter Level II (9 months)
Complete a series of online and instructor-led educational courses prepared by our in-house Learning and Development team.
Start, continue, or complete your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
In the final months of the program, complete a capstone project that will be presented to your regional leadership team.
